Clouds Mountain Gorilla Lodge
Clouds Mountain Gorilla lodge is Situated in the Nkuringo area adjacent to the southern fringes of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park amidst magnificent scenery with excellent views of the free standing Virunga Volcanoes that straddle the shared International borders of Uganda, Rwanda and Congo. Guest accommodation comprises 8 en-suite cottages built of local volcanic stone complete with twin basin bathrooms, hot and cold water, electric lighting, plug points and a cozy fireplace. Two of these are double-roomed family units. The main lodge offers soft and plush finishing with tanned wood and walls adorned with local Ugandan artwork. Other amenities include a bar, restaurant and gift shop. The lodge is an initiative of Wild Places Africa and built in partnership with the Nkuringo Community Development Fund and the Ugandan Wildlife Authority, the lodge directly benefits the Nkuringo community. The trail heads to Bwindi’s Nkuringo family of gorillas is just around the corner.
